What did you like to do most as a kid? We bet playing outside was one of your favorite things.
Now, think about the children you are supporting with your donations doing the same: having fun, being fascinated with what they see in the nature and feeling excited of learning new things. Well, your generosity and the amazing job of the members of our organization made this possible for more than 300 children in the Magdalena region. Through different activities, they learned about the environment, animals around them and the importance of preserving nature.
In Pivijay, the kids celebrated the ‘National Parks Day’, a festivity made up by the teachers and educators with the idea of show to boys and girls the relevance of taking care of the wildlife spaces the world has, all this using pictures and boards.
Thanks to your help, the children learned about the nocturnal animals and the night itself, the sundown, moonrise and stars while they went camping. Using tables, blankets and plastic bags, they recreated a tent in the darkness and played at being outside with night creatures around them. They were so excited that all of them wanted to get into the tent at the same time!
Speaking of animals, let’s talk about the ‘Animal's Circus’, a recreational activity the children and families part of the project got the chance to enjoy in El Plato, Magdalena. They witnessed magical plays that show them animals of all shapes and sizes, wild and domestic, and the importance of preserving them, in a very imaginative way.
Education, in different subjects, is an indispensable pillar for the proper development of children. It is a priority for us. That is why we carry out this kind of exercises with them. YOU make this job possible with your support and we are absolutely thankful for that.
So, next time you go outside, look at the sky and think on the smiles you are building in this corner of the world or, if you prefer, just take a look at the pictures below.
