In one of our most sucessful activities for rural children this year! 25 boys and girls in the rural town of San Andrés de Sotavento, in mountain side region of Cordoba, had the opportunity to demonstrate their physical, motor and intellectual habilities with a variety of challenging games and activities they had never experience in their lives!
With your help the “Juntos Construyendo Futuro” team planned and created a wonderful adventure trail full of games and dynamics for the kids to enjoy and discover. They were also responsible for guiding the little adventurers though the course and leading them to the final goal, a leasson on team work and values.
The activity was held in the forest near the town, and allowed the participating boys and girls to interact with the environment, learn about safety when walking in the forest and enjoy a beautiful sunny day, while having fun meeting and sharing with other kids from their little town.
Your generosity and the work of our volunteers made possible to give this amazing experience to children who often don’t get the chance to have fun, and participate in active interactive activities like these, as they generally come from low income families that does not usually allow them to have time for recreation.
The final goal after each of the physical and mental challenges in the adventure trial, the kids had to piece together the clues they found allong the way, in order to complete a great educational message related to the values they learned during the day. The activity was aimed at promoting teamwork and critical thinking in problem-solve.
The children and teens actively participated and showed great enthusiasm, finally a team of five was crowened winners and champions of the little tournament and receive a little price, we couldn't find happier little hearts anywhre that day. The winning team was so happy the whole town came out to celebrate their victory!
Thanks to your generosity, our organization had the opportunity to carry out activities that can support children in their development and above all they hapiness and healthy growth!
