The mimes members of the Art club!

The Art Club in the rural municipalities of Segovia and Remedios in mountainous department of Antioquia, is know many villages and little towns around. Part of the program we do to erradicate child labour and improve development opportinities for children and youth in rural communities, this after school ´clubs´ are the children's best chance to use their time after school to develop their talent. This past few month the club has been practicing miming!

During their lessons, they created a special presentation to teach others about the dangers and disavantages of child labor. And their act got so good their teacher took them on a mini-tour of educations institutions around their municipalities, so that they could ecouraging other students like them, to stay in school and dedicate their free time to development activities instead of working. The group is a huge sucess and they are planning to incorporate dancing to their act!

Parents of the members of the Art Club say they are very proud of them, specially because since they have join the afterschool program they have gain confidence and are not only investing their free time in productive activities that contribute to their community, but they are encouraging other to do so too!

Thanks to your contribution and support, we can continue creating programs like this wonderful Art Club, that changes the life of hundreds of children and teens in rural communities that don't have regular access to sports, artistic and academic opportunities, and asure their integral growth.
