After the earthquake in Venezuela
After the earthquake in Venezuela
In a world of chaos, you’re providing children with safety and peace.

Your support delivers disaster preparedness training, immediate aid—like nutritious food, professional healthcare and more—and the long-term support children need to stay healthy, heal from trauma and build a brighter future. Thank you.

In this report, you’ll find the latest updates on crises around the world—and how donors like you are delivering life-changing and life-saving relief to the world’s unprotected children.

Venezuela earthquake: Your compassion fuels recovery efforts
A rare and catastrophic double earthquake ripped through Venezuela in June, leavingchildren and families in crisis.

Almost 60,000 homes, schoolsand hospitals have been damaged or destroyed.Thousands offamilies have been displaced—left without shelter, access to healthcare and clean, safe drinking water.

But thanks to your generous support, children aren’t left to weather this disaster alone.

Because of SOS supporters like you, SOS teams in Venezuela are meeting families’ most urgent needs—like food, clean water, clothing, hygiene products, psychological support and more.

Thank you for delivering the immediate aid and long-term help children and families need to heal, recover and rebuild after crisis.

You send life-saving care to the hardest to reach places in Somalia
Five years of devastating drought in Somalia, and children are starving.

More than 1.8 million children in Somalia are suffering from life-threatening malnutrition. But many families, especially in rural Somalia, can’t access the nutritious food or life-saving medical care that their children desperately need to survive.

Without help, these children could become more heartbreaking victims of childhood hunger.

But you’re transforming hunger into hope for children in Somalia.

Because of your support, SOS health workers are traveling to the most remote locations in Somalia treating childhood illnesses, screening and caring for malnutrition cases, and teaching mothers and families about healthy childhood nutrition.

More than 3,000 people in 15 remote villages have received life-saving health and malnutrition care!

Thank you for delivering the professional healthcare and life-saving food children need to grow and thrive—now and for years to come.
