Thank You for your help!

Dear Friend,

Your support is helping children in Colombia gain something that should never be a privilege: the chance to learn in safety, develop their talents, and look toward the future with hope.

For children growing up in disadvantaged communities, education is often about much more than schoolbooks and lessons. Poverty, overcrowded classrooms, violence, and the presence of criminal groups can make regular school attendance difficult and, in some places, dangerous. Girls are particularly vulnerable to violence, exploitation, and other threats.

This is why your support through GlobalGiving is so important.

Thanks to our donors, we are able to help children from low-income families continue their education in environments where they can feel safer, receive individual support, and develop academically and personally.

Education Can Change an Entire Life

One of the children we have been supporting is Guadalupe, an eight-year-old girl from a very difficult family situation.

At home, she shares a small and inadequate room and bed with her sick grandmother. Despite these difficult conditions, Guadalupe is curious, intelligent, and eager to learn. Her circumstances could easily limit her opportunities, but education gives her a chance to build a very different future.

For Guadalupe and children like her, access to a safe and supportive educational environment means much more than improved grades. It means stability, encouragement, positive relationships with adults, and the possibility of imagining a life beyond poverty and violence.

Our goal is to make sure that a child's economic situation does not determine the limits of his or her future.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Through the project, we continue to support access to education for children who would otherwise face significant barriers. The assistance helps create better conditions for learning and provides children with the support they need to remain engaged in their education.

The project focuses not only on academic development but also on the children's broader personal growth. Learning how to cooperate with others, solve problems, build confidence, and take responsibility for one's own future can be just as important as traditional classroom subjects.

Particular attention is also given to children who are most at risk, including girls and children living in families affected by serious poverty or difficult social circumstances.

More Than School

We strongly believe that education is one of the most effective ways to break the cycle of poverty.

When a child receives a good education, the impact extends far beyond the individual student. Education can strengthen entire families and communities. It gives young people greater independence, improves their future employment opportunities, and reduces their vulnerability to violence, criminal groups, and exploitation.

Every year a child remains in education is therefore an investment in a safer and more independent future.

The transformation does not happen overnight. It happens gradually: through another completed school year, another skill learned, another exam passed, and another young person beginning to believe that their future can be different from the circumstances into which they were born.

Looking Ahead

Our work is far from finished.

There are still many talented children in Colombia whose families simply cannot provide them with the educational opportunities they deserve. We therefore want to continue supporting children already participating in the project while gradually reaching others who face similar difficulties.

Our priority remains the same: to help children stay in education, learn in safer conditions, and develop the knowledge and confidence they need to build independent lives.

Guadalupe's story reminds us why this work matters. Behind every donation is a real child with dreams, abilities, and enormous potential.

Thank you for standing alongside these children.

Your generosity is not only helping to pay for education. It is giving young people the chance to choose a different future.

With heartfelt gratitude,
