Child Sponsorship

Summary

Kisiizi Hospital runs a child and young adult sponsorship programme to meet the educational, nutritional and health needs of children from highly vulnerable families in our community. Your support pays for school fees, books and transport, meals and food support, and medical cover for your sponsored child including vaccinations. As the children grow into young adults they are supported to learn a trade or continue their studies to a higher level.

Challenge

Many children in the community who visit the hospital come from families who are too poor to go to school, are malnourished and cannot afford to use hospital services.

Solution

The child sponsorship program aims to provide children in very vulnerable households with the chance to go to school, provide healthcare services to keep them safe, and provide their families with food to ensure they are well nourished and grow into their full potential. We also help the children as they develop into young adults with learning a trade or further education.

Long-Term Impact

We have a strong success rate from our graduates, many of whom are now working, studying at college or university.
