School is out in August here in Lusaka. Chikumbuso feels quiet without our 300 plus students running around at lunchtime! The teachers are taking some well deserved time off and, just like their counterparts around the world, spending time getting their classrooms ready for the students return in September. The school year here runs January through December, so we'll be entering our last session for this school year. The students will start preparing for their exams and anticipating their next steps.
