The last 6 months have been unprecedent for our project and for the entire planet. Mumbai, where we are based, is one of the most impacted city in the World by COVID-19.
Since March 23rd, when the first lockdown was announced, all the embroidery training activities have been suspended and we could only work from home on finalising the embroidery online training program based on Udemy.com. Unfortunately we are still unable to predict when we will be able to restart our embroidery activities considering that the emergency in Mumbai is far from being over.
The good news is that the final testing is now complete and the course is available online.
Divided into two parts the course is called ‘NOW I CAN: Hand embroidery training part 1’ and ‘NOW I CAN: Hand embroidery training part 2’. This program consists of video tutorials that cover the theoretical and practical aspects of embroidery, quizzes designed to make the videos more interactive, teaching notes, samplers and final test paper. All of which has been uploaded online in an arrangement following the syllabus. This syllabus was finalized and updated after observing the ongoing embroidery training program. The two parts of the online course are also divided into zardozi and aari techniques.
