Although we haven't visited the project since our last report our workers tell us that your donations are enabling students to develop their work. Frames are being produced by the boys in the metalwork department for solar powered units. This is an additional area of training development which is useful as the market for these panels is increasing.
The boys are also producing door frames and window frames for housing and businesses. Profit made from sales of these products will be used to buy more equipment and further staff the facility.
Our hope is that this will eventually enable the project to become self sustainable.
Retention of students in the afternoon teaching sessions is still a problem but we are hoping that this wil lbe resolved as staff apply a variety of strategies to encourage students to attend.
Once again thank you for your support.
