Aid to Burkina are thrilled that their Gateway Challenge project was fully funded over and above expectations in July this year. Once again, many thanks to all who participated.
The workshop in Bobo Dioulasso will be opening it's doors to students in October and equipment is being purchased for the first year of training even as I type this report. Word has travelled among the boys about the facility and they are eager to get started.
Funds will be released for stock on needs based criteria to avoid theft, which is endemic among the street boys. Eventually as more heavy and valuable equipment is housed in the facility we will employ a night guard.
We are visiting the workshop in November as we will be in Burkina Faso for ten days, developing other projects (education and medical) and will be able to update you more accurately with photographs etc. as the term will be in it's second month.
Thank you for partnering with us.
