End animal suffering in KCMO urban core

Chain of Hope provides food to thousands of animals in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, every month. People are struggling to feed themselves and their families; they have nothing left over to buy food for their animals and so the animals go hungry.

So many people try and get through by feeding their animals table scraps and left-overs, but that cannot provide enough daily nourishment for any extended length of time for every animal in the home. Many people use their food stamps and get items for their dogs and cats instead. They would rather go without themselves than their animal go without.

We are grateful when people call us so that we can get the food over to their pets that they love. No one wants to sit by and watch their animals be hungry and not be able to provide them the food that they need. It’s heart-breaking. That’s where Chain of Hope come in! The majority of our people calling for help are senior citizens and/or low-income citizens who have no transportation. We are able to take the pet food to them. It is an immense help to the people and we are glad to do it! Many people tell us that because of our service, they get to keep their pet with them. That is our goal-to keep them together!

The only way that Chain of Hope can provide this food to the citizens and animals of Kansas City is because of donations. We operate soley on donations to keep us going. Sometimes the donations are products such as dog food, cat food, etc. Sometimes the donations are monetary that allow us to pay our veterinary bills, run our shelter, etc. It takes a lot to keep us going! Our work is critical and necessary for the animals of Kansas City. Thank you for your considered support!
