The Community Fridge Fund (CFF) by FoodBlessed is progressing steadily toward its goal of installing 10 community fridges across Lebanon by the end of 2026. To date, 5 fridges have been successfully installed, helping reduce food waste and improve access to fresh food for vulnerable families in underprivileged areas and refugee communities.
The project continues to operate through community participation, where surplus food from households, businesses, and markets is shared through the fridges to support those in need. This model has helped strengthen local solidarity while promoting more sustainable food practices.
We are now halfway to our target and working to secure the necessary funding to install the remaining 5 fridges. Although fundraising is still ongoing and resources remain limited, the project remains active and fully ready to scale once additional support is secured.
