Kayla is an outgoing and talented teen who enjoys singing, acting, playing board games, and doing her nails and makeup. Since being diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma in February 2014, CCA has delivered the healing power of music to her bedside with our flagship MyMusicRx program. Recently, Kayla and her sister Taylor got a visit from MyMusicRx Specialist, Chris. Together they sang a lively rendition of “Roar” by Katy Perry, with Kayla taking the lead on vocals.
CCA continues to deliver MyMusicRx to thousands of seriously ill kids like Kayla across the U.S. and Canada, serving 4,400 children in the past year. Trained MyMusicRx Specialists engage kids in bedside sing-a-longs, offer instrument lending for self-expression, and provide access to CCA’s digital music medicine program, MyMusicRx.org. Scientifically proven to help pediatric patients manage pain, boost immunity, and decrease emotional stress, CCA uses music medicine to heal.
With your generous donation, we can grow this program and spread the healing joy of music to more children, teens, and families.
