Dear SLAM supporter,
As you travel, connect with relatives and reflect on all the things for which you are grateful, know that we are grateful for YOU.
You are a part of the CBM family.
Thank you for all you have done -- no matter how great, or how small -- to support the Saving Lives and Minds (SLAM) Academic Performance Program.
As the end of the year approaches, we are closing in on our $5,000 goal. Some of the donations collected to date have allowed our children to have experiences such as…
A visit from My Reptile Guys who taught them about animals like the Burmese python (pictured above), Russian tortoise, kingsnake, red-eared slider, bearded dragon, and boa constrictor. As you can see, we have some brave students who were not afraid to pet the python! The children were amazed to get up close and personal with all of the snakes and lizards!
Building upon their work with STEM, participants got to test their mad scientist skills with spooky science experiments during SLAM Spooky Week, and as an added bonus, staff turned their classroom into a haunted house that scared everyone.
With the quickly dropping temperatures, and the approaching holiday season, we look forward to upcoming activities like the SLAM Holiday Family Dinner in December.
We will continue to keep you posted on all that is going on at SLAM until we reach our goal.
In the meantime, we wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!
