2nd April Quest
Our school’s event for the 2nd of April, World Autism Awareness Day, was a Quest.
Eight inclusive teams were drawing, dancing, solving riddles, showing their speed and other talents to pass ten stations located in all parts of the school building. Every successful team got a goblet with a hint to the location of treasures. And the treasure hunt began.
In the end, each team got its treasure trunk full of golden (chocolate) coins and a sea of fun!
Inclusion and socialization are the primary doctors of autism. We do not have a "correction type of life," our kids live in the same environment as all of us, and we have to be able live together happily and ever after. (As planned).
