Thank you for creating a special 2025 Holiday Season at Casa Mariposa! Your GivingTuesday support played a meaningful role for families at the end of last year. With these funds, Casa was able to create a shared holiday experience and provide practical support at a time that can be especially difficult for families facing financial strain and uncertainty.
Each parent received money to purchase gifts for their children. Children were able to participate in the joy of the season by giving gifts to their parents, something that held deep emotional significance for many families. Casa also came together to celebrate Christmas as a community, creating space for connection, warmth, and a sense of belonging.
In addition, all families received grocery gift cards as holiday support. This helped ease financial pressure during the holidays and allowed families to meet basic needs and participate in seasonal traditions. Beyond full bellies, these gift cards provided security and comfort.
In early 2026, we welcomed two new residents. We welcomed a Haitian mother who had just been released from 7 months of ICE detention. And one Casa Mariposa family welcomed a new baby, our youngest resident and a bright new light.
