Empowering Women and Girls

During this quarter, TJINK has accomplished the follwing:

• Training for the Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) for 200 participants, 160 women and adolescent girlsand 40 men, in rural Rivercess County, start this February in eight communities with 25 members each VSLA group (20 females and 5 males). In these identified communities, agriculture and Agro-business is the focus
• One of the mentees of THINK, was accepted to participate in the She-Can, scholarship opportunity for young women to attend university in the United States later in 2020
• School assistance for 5 girls and young women, locally, in Liberia, continues with 3 being beneficiaries of Global Neighborhood Fund and 2 from a private scholarship fund
• Guidance Counseling sessions continue, three times a week  for adolescent girls on life skills development, continues 
• Six of our adolescent girls were part of the Validation workshop on the Second Edition of the Liberiamn Women’s Manifesto held at the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection in Monrovia
