In Kenya, if it has been a long time since communicating, one will say, "You have been lost!" Yes, it has been a long time without communication to GlobalGiving. Expanding Opportunities has been undergoing some administrative changes BUT the care of our the children has remained steady.
We currently have 10 children in our residential care. Two orphan girls resued from FGM/EFM, one girl who was defiled, 5 children who were neglected and two who were abandoned. JWHS works to locate any family members and works to reunite and reintegrate the children to their communities.
In addition to these children, we support 3 children in primary school, 5 children in high school, and three in post secondary education. These children live with relatives, board at their schools or are supported in independent living..
This keeps the staff very busy. So please forgive us for our lack of communication. We will certainly try to do better in the future.
