Members of the Carers Time Bank project in Hammersmith & Fulham enjoyed a trip to the Sky Garden in the heart of the City of London on Wednesday 31 January 2018.
The group took in spectacular views across the capital from the 35th floor and relaxed together over a coffee and chat – while enjoying a very well-earned break from their caring role!
The group had a great time, with one carer saying, “I really enjoyed today’s outing – a change from the normal routine,” and another adding, “I didn’t know anything about this place…It’s beautiful, peaceful, calming, interesting.” Several carers mentioned how much they enjoyed having a chance to be together with other carers, and that the outing gave them a chance to relax.
The next Time Bank meet-up will be on Wednesday 21 Feb, this will include an activity session where members will learn how to make an eye pillow and find out the potential health benefits of using one.
Thank you for donating towards this campaign, as we would not have been able to successfully launch this project and offer local unpaid carers these activities without your generous support!
