With your help, we raised £4,086 from 96 people to support our campaign to allow more people to access this important project. This means we are pleased to report we successfully passed the Global Giving Gateway Challenge and have won a permanent place on their online platform.
We wanted to give you a quick update on how the campaign went and the steps we have already taken to try and expand the Carers Time Bank.
During the campaign, local carers were very keen to get involved and help us with the challenge. Existing Carers Time Bank members hosted a 'Carols and Coffee' fundraising event and arranged for the Carers Choir to come to their December coffee morning.
The choir led rousing renditions of some Christmas favourites – everyone was in exceptionally fine voice and the carers attending helped to raise over £85 towards the campaign!
Being able to raise over £4,000 means more than just making it onto Global Giving. It has allowed us to take the initial steps towards making the Carers Time Bank project available to more local carers. We have held initial conversations with Timebanking UK on how we can most effectively expand the Time Bank and will soon begin work to ensure the Time Bank is open to more carers than ever before.
However, we’re not quite there yet!
In order to deliver the full project, we still need to raise a total of £6,000 – which will enable us to help 50 carers share skills in our unique Carers Time Bank. We are less than £2,000 away from reaching this target and we will soon be doing some additional work to promote our campaign. As soon as we reach the total, we will be sure to let you know!
If you are able to help us once again by either making an additional donation or sharing the project link with your family friends and social network that would be greatly appreciated:

Thank you once again for your continued support. We really wouldn’t have been able to do this without you!
