Rethinking care work and gender equality in Brazil

For the past 13 years, we have been producing high-quality content, research, and public debates on gender equality across Brazil’s digital landscape, as well as in the media and events. We are proud to have built an engaged community of over one hundred thousand women interested in key issues such as care work, gender-based violence, women’s careers, motherhood, and many other relevant topics.

In 2025, we expanded the conversation around care work by amplifying the Brazilian federal government’s National Care Policy, an agenda we have actively contributed to as representatives of civil society. In addition, we addressed topics such as women’s aspirations for the future, financial autonomy, cultural movements, the role of boys and men in challenging misogyny, as well as emerging debates on climate justice in the context of COP30 and women’s comprehensive health.

We also actively engaged in advocacy efforts, including our participation in COPAI and in a national coalition advocating for the expansion of paternity leave in Brazil. This agenda is intrinsically connected to care work, as it promotes a more equitable redistribution of care responsibilities. In early 2026, we began to see the results of this collective effort, with the presidential sanction of a bill advancing this agenda.

Throughout the year, we published over 114 pieces of content and reached more than 3 million views across our social media platforms, with a single post surpassing 1.8 million views. Our website also recorded 47,700 views.

We have reached millions of people through our unique and accessible communication approach, consolidating our position as a leading reference in gender equality debates in Brazil. We do this with minimal resources and maximum dedication.

At the same time, securing consistent funding remains a challenge, especially from donors committed to advancing gender equality and women’s rights. Still, we remain hopeful and committed to building a better future, for women and for society as a whole.
