The coronavirus pandemic has not stopped "Care for a Child’s Heart (CFACH)" from pressing on to continue the great work that was started 28 years ago. Two thousand plus (2,000+) children and families have been blessed with surgeries, interventions, medicine, food, personal care, livelihood packages, accommodation, and support to enjoy healthier lives today.
During the past quarter, CFACH administration and staff continued serving patients and families. Three of CFACH patients returned safely to Kenya after receiving successful heart surgeries at the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac institute in Tanzania in January 2021. Necessary to remedy the gloomy prognoses for these sick, and desperate children with various heart anomalies were interventions to correct regurgitation, stenosis, and atresia of the valves. One patient Muhdin travelled to Spain for treatment. He underwent successful surgery at Barcelona Hospital in April 2021. All patients are recuperating and doing well. Currently patient George from Uganda, and a sponsored child of CFACH, is awaiting open heart surgery at Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac institute in Tanzania.
Care for a Child's Heart also provided the following additional services:
Care for a Child’s Heart and Children & Charity International are grateful for your continued donation to this worthy cause. Please spread the word to your friends, family, and social media networks so we can get the resources needed to continue impacting the lives of needy children, and families in Kenya, and other parts of Africa who would otherwise not have a chance at a successful life. Thank you.
