Thanks to your continued support for this program, Colectivo CARE has reached another important milestone—13,000 treatments provided to farmworkers and their families. When we ask those we serve about the impact of these treatments, the numbers tell an even more meaningful story. Those coming to Colectivo CARE clinics report a 95% reduction in pain and an 80% reduction in stress levels.

Participants also consistently report that CARE practitioners are attentive to their needs. These results help us understand not only how many people we are reaching, but how this care is making a difference in their daily lives.

Colectivo CARE was founded through a collaboration between Livity Rising, Integrative Health Action Network, and Acupuncturists Without Borders. In our second three-year grant cycle, this program continues to adjust to the needs of the community. Complex immigration policies and the challenge of securing stable clinic locations have required creativity, flexibility, and perseverance. Through it all, our partners have remained committed to bringing safe, welcoming, trauma-informed care directly to farmworkers and their families.

Farmworkers face significant barriers to healthcare, including inadequate housing, limited access to insurance, and demanding working conditions despite performing work that is essential to all of us. They produce one-third of the vegetables, two-thirds of the fruits and nuts, and 90% of the strawberries grown in California. For people doing physically demanding work, relief from pain can make an enormous difference, and during periods of heightened stress and uncertainty, having access to care that helps lower stress levels can be equally important.

One of Colectivo CARE's greatest strengths has been this ability to adapt while continuing to listen to the communities we serve.
