The pandemic has exposed the deficienies of health care facilities in rural India . Empowerment through Education-(ETE ) identified this major lacuna and has embarked on construction of an additional ward in Burgula village - Primary Health Care Centre.
Burgula village is situated 60 Kms from Hyderabad, India serving a catchment area of over 75 ,000 population .
The existing structure as seen in- pic-1 does not have the capacity to deliver safe and efficient health care in the ever increasing demand of providing care in rural India.
ETE decided to construct a ward , and identified the space next to the existing structure - pic-2 , an architect plan was drawn which will accomodate 15-20 beds with provision for two toilets- pic - 3 .
The project has commenced early April, 2021 and is almost nearing completion . The project will be ready to use by middle of October- pic- 4, pic-5, pic-6.
ETE through bursaries have been providing college and hostel fees for College education for the last 8 years , and is extremely proud to announce the first Graduate from the Talakondapally village , and icing on the cake is it is a Girl student .
In the coming years , we will have each year one or two students graduating with a College Degree.
