The last 18 months have been extremely challenging for the entire world , more so for the students from rural India . Empowerment through Education - UK ( ETE ) and its local partner in India - Dr Suguna Ram Mohan Educational Society - Hyderbad was able to provide some support to the teachers and children alike in these difficult times .
The Charities bought smart phones to enable college going children to have remote Zoom classes . For three months students had classes in person in the various colleges of the Hyderabad.
The children from the School were also affected due to the pandemic and lockdown . But were able to have classes in person for three months this year . The Principal and staff were extremely motivated and conducted remote classes as well .
ETE and DRSES were able to do some maintainence work in the grounds of the School and also get all the toilets working .
A healthy rural India will lead to healthy rural society . With that aim in mind , ETE and DRSES jointly decided to build another ward in the Primary Health Care Centre to improve the delivery of care in a safe and sound environment . The project commenced in the first week of April - 2021 and will be completed by September 2021
