Cambodian Eye Mission December 2022 Project # 57860
THE BLINDNESS FOUNDATION www.blindcure.com
Over 200 blind Cambodian patients were treated for cataract surgery on this Eye Mission.
These included children iborn with congenital cataracts.
-Please see enclosed photos..
The patients had lens replacement with lens implants donated and shipped
through THE BLINDNESS FOUNDATION and were provided free of charge.
We work with two major Teaching Hospitals and their staff of Eye Doctors
and Nurses in the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh.
In addition, Dr Christopher Lyon, Founder & Director of THE BLINDNESS FOUNDATION
helped teach and train the young Ophthalmologists in the latest surgical techniques in a transfer of skill sets.
The University of Health Sciences where Dr.Lyon has been granted
a Visiting Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology status reqested assistance in accessing the American Academy of
Ophthalmology's internet journal library .This enabled the young Eye Doctors in training to learn the very latest research being
carried out around the world . Cambodian Doctors of this generation now learn and keep up with the most modern concepts
which impact their patient's care.
