As usual the atmosphere at our children's home is really fun and loving.
Our poor chicken lost his ladies due to a disease and as we are about to get him some new chicken friends, he decided to make friends with all the other animals at the home. So a daily sight over there is chicken eating together with the dogs (he even enjoyed parts of our pancakes) and then playing with the dogs and the baby buffalo. At night the buffaloes go to their bamboo house (where they have their own light, fan and some fire to keep the mosquitoes away) and the dogs and the chicken have permanently moved into the home and all sleep in the hallway. Not always that much fun when the chicken confuses day and night time and starts waking everyone up at 2am but everyone seems to have got used to that.
The boys are wonderful at looking after all the animals - it teaches them responsibility and caring for others.
It's exams time again for our boys and they are all taking it very seriously - they keep an eye on time whilst playing and then they say 'we have to stop now as time for studying'. We're all really proud of them. After the exams the older boys will get some more work experience at a car mechanic workshop and a nice cafe - and they can't wait to get some new skills.
We have now welcomed another new boy. Although he has only been with us for about 2 weeks, he seems to be acclimatizing very well and is starting his school shortly.
We will update you on their results and also on the progress with everything else at the home.
And thank you again for all your support!
