The summer has arrived in Nepal and it is VERY hot at the moment with temperatures in Birgunj exceeding 40 degrees every day. Our children start their school very early at 6am and finish early as well as otherwise sitting in classrooms with no fans during the hottest part of the day would be unbearable.
Our buffaloes are getting their cold showers twice a day and are loving those! New vegetables have been planted so our garden should be very green very soon.
From some really exciting news - we have welcomed 4 new street boys to the Our Sansar children's home. Our boys are making sure that their new friends are feeling a part of their new family. They are settling in very well and will be starting school shortly. It's so lovely to see the smiles on their faces and we hope we can provide them with a bright future.
Also, we have recently arranged a work experience placement for our Subash, first one ever in his life. We placed him at a car mechanic workshop in Kathmandu for one week and he loved it and everyone at the workshop loved and greatly appreciated his work there. Now Subash wants to open his own workshop in the future and we are definitely planning on making this dream come through one day.
Some more exciting news coming up shortly and we will keep you all updated with what is happening on the ground.
And as always, thank you so much for all your support!
