Buy Chickens for street children in Nepal

We were very lucky that the recent flooding disaster did not affect us, and all the children and staff are safe. We are monitoring the situation and are ready to take in any children who might need temporary or permanent accommodation and care. We are located quite far from the affected areas, though, so we are not sure whether we can help at the moment. The government is trying to place children with organisations based closer to the affected areas. We will keep everyone updated as we receive more information.

In the meantime, all the children at our Children’s Home are happy and healthy. We have had to provide medical care to a few of the boys, and one of them needed a small procedure at the hospital. Luckily, he has now fully recovered and is back at school.

Recently, we developed a series of fun, interactive sessions for the boys covering children’s rights, safe touch, peer pressure, digital literacy and the dangers of too much screen time. These sessions were really useful for all the boys, so we have now trained staff from our other projects and rolled them out across all our projects with great success.

The monsoon is coming to an end, which means we can start growing new vegetables in our garden, so all the boys are helping with that on their days off. And, of course, we have had a number of very happy birthday and festival celebrations. The boys have also been kept busy doing lots of fun artwork at the home and, as usual, playing a lot of football!
