Bulambuli Landslides: Help Families Survive
Dear Friends and Supporters,
The people of Bulambuli District in eastern Uganda are facing a heartbreaking humanitarian crisis following devastating rains and landslides around Mount Elgon. At least 15 people have reportedly lost their lives, more than 100 people are missing, 15 others have been hospitalized, and approximately 40 homes across six villages have been buried or swept away.
Behind these figures are families who have lost their homes, children waiting for safety, and loved ones desperately hoping for news of missing relatives. Many survivors urgently need food, clean drinking water, temporary shelter, medical assistance, and essential household supplies.
Through Good Cause Foundation Uganda, we are appealing for finds to support emergency relief and early recovery for affected families. Our proposed response will prioritize food assistance, safe water and hygiene, temporary shelter, medical referrals, protection for vulnerable children, and the transportation of essential relief supplies.
