Project: Building a Shelter for the Homeless Kids in Kenya
Organization: Feed Everyone (Kenya)
Reporting Period: April 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026
Project Status: Fundraising Phase
Project ID: #72367

1. Executive Summary

Dear GlobalGiving and our kindest donors,

On behalf of the children whose lives you are helping to transform, we at Feed Everyone (Kenya) are honored to present this quarterly report for the period of April to June 2026. Our mission is to provide more than just meals—we aim to provide a foundation for life. Our current primary objective is to build a spacious, safe, and modern shelter for needy orphans who currently lack a stable environment.

The number of homeless children seeking assistance from Feed Everyone continues to grow, and the need on the ground remains critical. The orphans we serve are currently in overcrowded or temporary facilities that do not meet the standards of dignity and safety they deserve. This quarter, we are grateful to report that we received a generous donation of $66 through GlobalGiving. While we celebrate every contribution, we must honestly share that we remain significantly below our target.

2. Financial Update

Metric Amount
Total Raised This Quarter $66
Total Raised to Date $66
Project Funding Target $15,000
Percentage of Target Achieved <1%

Includes $39 raised in the previous period

Performance vs. Goal: We are currently below 1% of our $15,000 target. The journey ahead is long, but every dollar brings us closer to breaking ground on the new shelter.

How Funds Are Being Utilized: The $66 raised this quarter has been allocated to essential preliminary activities, including:

· Community outreach and needs assessment
· Identification and registration of additional homeless children in need of shelter
· Basic supplies for children currently in our temporary care

3. Activities & Impact

Despite the funding challenges, our team has remained active in serving the vulnerable children of Kenya:

· Outreach & Registration: We identified and registered 28 new homeless children in Nairobi and its environs who are in urgent need of safe shelter.
· Temporary Care: We continued to provide nutritious meals, basic medical care, and informal educational support to children in our temporary facilities.
· Community Engagement: We held meetings with local leaders and community members to secure support and identify suitable land for the planned shelter.
· Advocacy: We raised awareness about the plight of homeless children in Kenya through our social media platforms and local networks.

---

4. The Urgent Need: A Home for the Future

The need for a permanent shelter has never been more urgent. Kenya continues to face significant humanitarian challenges, with approximately 3.7 million people projected to experience high levels of acute food insecurity between April and June 2026. Homeless children are among the most vulnerable, often going without meals for days and sleeping in unsafe conditions.

Our Goal is to construct a facility that includes:

· Spacious sleeping quarters where children can rest safely
· A dedicated dining and study area for meals and learning
· Sanitary washrooms and clean water access to ensure dignity and health
· A secure playground for physical development and joy

---

5. Challenges

We must be transparent about the obstacles we face:

· Funding Shortfall: Our fundraising efforts continue to face significant hurdles. The $66 raised this quarter, while deeply appreciated, is insufficient to move us into the construction phase.
· Economic Constraints: Local economic shifts and financial constraints have made it difficult for our traditional community donors to contribute at the levels we anticipated.
· Growing Need: As more children seek our assistance, the pressure on our limited resources increases.

---

6. A Heartfelt Appeal to Our Kindest Donors

We are calling upon our kindest donors and well-wishers to help us bridge this gap. We know that the goal of $15,000 may seem distant, but with your support, we can turn this around.

Your contribution—no matter the size—tells these children that they are not forgotten. It helps us move past the challenges we've faced and brings us one step closer to laying the first brick of their new home.

"A small act of kindness is a giant leap for a child in need."

How You Can Help:

· Donate: Even a small gift helps us build momentum.
· Share: Forward this report to your network to help us reach beyond our local community.
· Commit: Monthly giving provides the stable outlook we need to plan construction.

---

7. Looking Ahead

In the coming quarter, we aim to:

· Intensify our fundraising efforts through global platforms and local partnerships
· Secure a piece of land for the proposed shelter
· Continue providing care and support to the children in our temporary facilities
· Engage more deeply with the community to build local ownership of the project

---

8. Gratitude

We extend our deepest gratitude to GlobalGiving for providing the platform that connects us with compassionate donors worldwide. We are equally thankful to you—our kindest donors—for your generosity and trust. Your $66 donation is not just a number; it is a beacon of hope for a child who dreams of a safe place to call home.

Thank you, GlobalGiving. Thank you, kindest donors of GlobalGiving, and the entire world community supporting different situations.

With hope and determination,
