So, with Covid-19 having shut down all schools; with the Astra-Zeneca vaccine ineffective; with the J&J vaccine on pause for blood clots, our AIDS orphans and other deeply poor and orphaned students are now coming to our soup kitchen for tutoring. We group them, masked and distanced, by age, and have tutors from the community come and help them for several hours a day. if there is no homework, we have the students discuss topics of interest and of importance. We feed them and give them a bit of structure in these crazy times. Our GlobalGiving partners have been enormously supportive as we continually pivot to address the need of the week or month as we wait for an effective vaccine.
