Dear friends -
We are suffering badly - hunger everywhere while the Covid-19 virus lockdown prevents the poor from receiving food, having money to buy food, or getting to soup kitchens. We are working hard every day to cook a hot meal from food provided by Food Forward and other programs and to feed, outdoor kitchen and some delivery, as many people as we have food for. The elderly and the children are a priority, but everyone needs to eat. As winter passes, the weather will warm. As the virus is brought under control, more will be able to get to the soup kitchen, with masks of course. This is hard, but we have been through hard before with the AIDS crisis [which is still a major health issue here in S. Africa].
Every donation goes even farther in these times as we stretch every dollar into two or three. We are very grateful every day for our sustainers and supporters and single donations. May all stay safe.
