Sathkara Social Service Foundation provides safe and dignified homes for vulnerable families across Sri Lanka. We have already built 15 homes in Balangoda, Kalutara, and Ampara for families living in unsafe conditions. This project will raise funds to construct additional homes, giving children and parents a secure place to live, study, and thrive. Together, we can restore hope, improve living conditions, and create lasting change for families in need.
Many vulnerable families in Sri Lanka live in unsafe and inadequate housing due to poverty, unemployment, natural disasters, and economic hardship. Parents struggle to provide secure shelter, while children often lack a safe environment to study and grow. Poor housing conditions expose families to health risks, insecurity, and social challenges. Without support, these families remain trapped in a cycle of poverty, limiting their opportunities for a better future.
This project will build safe and permanent homes for vulnerable families who currently live in unsafe shelters or damaged houses. Through community partnerships and donor support, Sathkara Social Service Foundation will provide construction materials, skilled labor, and project oversight. A secure home improves health, safety, and dignity while giving children a stable environment to learn and thrive. We have already built 10 homes and plan to help many more families across Sri Lanka.
The project will create lasting change by providing vulnerable families with safe, stable housing and a foundation for a better future. Secure homes improve health, safety, education, and economic opportunities while reducing the risks associated with inadequate shelter. Children will have a safe place to study and grow, and families can focus on improving their livelihoods. Over time, the project will strengthen communities, reduce poverty, and restore hope for generations to come.
