Summary

EP Lafontaine School in the Democratic Republic of Congo serves 420 students, including 214 girls and 121 children displaced or returning from conflict. This project will build six permanent classrooms, an administrative office, latrines, and school desks on our existing 51m x 70m land. Your support will help children replace unsafe temporary learning spaces with a safe school environment where they can learn, dream, and build a better future.

Challenge

Every morning, children arrive at EP Lafontaine carrying books, dreams, and hope-but they enter classrooms that are not real classrooms. Because the school has no permanent building, 420 students study in small temporary spaces where 5 to 7 children often share one bench. During difficult weather conditions, learning becomes almost impossible. These poor learning conditions put children at risk of falling behind, becoming sick, or abandoning school completely.

Solution

This education project will construct six permanent classrooms, an administrative office, latrines, and school desks at EP Lafontaine School in Congo. The new school infrastructure will provide students with safe, clean, and comfortable learning spaces. It will reduce overcrowding, improve attendance, protect children from unhealthy conditions, and create a better environment for teachers to support student success.By investing in school construction, donors will help create a lasting educational

Long-Term Impact

This project will help 420 children access better educational opportunities and continue their studies in dignity. Girls will have a stronger chance to complete their education, while displaced and vulnerable children will gain stability and hope. Over time, educated children can become teachers, healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
