Summary

War is forcing Ukrainian youth to grow up amid prolonged stress, loss, and uncertainty. The "Resilience Through EQ" program will support 15-20 war-affected and displaced young people each month through psychological support, emotional intelligence training, self-regulation practices, and creative activities. We need $1,500 per month to keep this support available and help young people restore their inner resources and build their future with greater confidence.

Challenge

War is forcing Ukrainian youth to grow up amid constant stress, loss, and uncertainty. In the Vinnytsia region alone, more than 143,000 internally displaced people are rebuilding their lives after their homes were destroyed or made uninhabitable by the war. Young people often face anxiety, emotional exhaustion, disrupted social ties, and difficulties adapting, while access to consistent psychological support remains limited.

Solution

The project will create a safe space for young people whose homes have been destroyed by the war to recover and rebuild their inner strength. Each month, 15-20 participants will work with psychologists, take part in art therapy and emotional intelligence practices, and learn to manage stress and restore their inner resources. This support will help them adapt, regain confidence, stay in Ukraine, and build their future while contributing to the country's recovery.

Long-Term Impact

In the long term, the program will help young people who have lost their homes because of the war develop lasting skills in self-regulation, emotional intelligence, and mental health care. Graduates will be able to support their peers and become active members of their communities. The program will grow into a sustainable model of youth support, helping young people stay in Ukraine, rebuild their lives, and contribute to the country's recovery.
