Your support made this possible!
BrazilFoundation and EPC Paramoti are proud to announce that this campaign has reached its goal – the school house is completely constructed! Thanks to all of your donations through GlobalGiving, as well as the support this project received offline – including a generous donation from the Prentice Foundation – the school is now a functional space where students in Paramoti are already participating in cooperative learning and working towards accomplishing their goals and securing their futures.
Our gratitude to all of our donors and to the program’s coordinator, Aurenir Sales Luz, who worked tirelessly to make this dream a reality. EPC Paramoti has already made such a difference in the lives of rural Ceará’s youth, and with the completion of this school house, access to higher education is now within reach for so many more aspiring students in the region.
We would also like to note that while construction on the school house is now complete, EPC Paramoti is still in need of resources to finish furnishing and purchasing equipment for their new space.
Please see the attached photos of EPC Paramoti students making use of their new facilities and an inspiring talk from Manoel de Andrade, who began the powerful movement of cooperative learning in his home state of Ceará just a few years ago.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
