One-Forty Project Report 2023 vol.03

PROJECT REPORT

One-Forty is a non-profit startup committed to SEA migrant worker issue. Our mission is “Make every migrant journey worth and inspiring”. We also believe every person deserves to dream, and every story deserves listeners. To accomplish our mission, we are devoted to empower them with required skills and trainings, so they can regain self-awareness and self-confident with clear visions and better lives. In the process, we also aspire to improve structural economic issues.

The Journey of One-Forty Migrant Life School

Since 2023, One-Forty Migrant Life School has completed two terms with over 250 students, and now we are currently in our third term class. Each term's curriculum includes basic or advanced Chinese courses, as well as computer and entrepreneurship classes. In the classroom, every textbook and teaching material is tailored to meet the daily needs of migrant workers, aligning with their real work and life situations. This year, One-Forty is also dedicating more effort to cultivate "Migrant Junior Teachers" who can return to the classroom as teaching assistants to guide new migrant students, making the continuation of this sustainabal cycle.

In the future, we also hope to offer more comprehensive care resources and support for migrant caregivers. With your help, we will be able to take more in-depth and far-reaching approaches!
