This project aims to promote literacy, enhance the quality of education, and improve learning outcomes for 1500 children by establishing a well-equipped library that serves as a hub for educational resources and capacity-building
Even with the introduction of free education, children attending public schools in Zambia have minimal teacher-learner contact time, affecting the quality of education they receive. To supplement government efforts in providing education for all. This project will break the cycle of illiteracy with on-the-ground programs that build up learning opportunities for children. We work to; Eradicate illiteracy, improve the poor reading culture, and provide access to books for up to 1500 children.
Natubelenge Children's Library provides a safe space for underserved children to learn, read and play. Where schools end we start, and where community schools are lacking we fill in. Building this children's Library will empower children with the much-needed literacy skills, the foundation on which all other learning builds. They will also get access to books, teachers, alternative learning activities and technology.
This project will reduce illiteracy levels, allowing children and young people to improve their social and economic status. It will also improve the poor-reading culture among children in communities.
