2024 was a year of significant learning for our organization. We focused on capacity building and spent much of the year establishing systems and procedures. This included developing standardized grant proposals and creating standard operating procedures. We believe the knowledge and skills we gained last year have made us funder-ready and will enable us to achieve even more in 2025.
However, despite the progress we made, we were unable to meet our fundraising target, which has placed considerable strain on our 2025 operational budget. We are committed to improving our fundraising efforts this year to ensure the sustainability of our programs.
One major highlight of 2024 was receiving a generous donation of two acres of land from a kind-hearted couple. This donation brings us closer to realizing our vision of building a library that can serve 2,000 children. Having this land will also enable us to implement recently added programs, including health and wellness, skills and career development, and volunteer initiatives.
