Dear Bucha School Supporter,
We are grateful to share the inspiring progress made during Ukraine’s Independence Day weekend in Bucha. Thanks to your support, and the incredible dedication of volunteers and community members, the Bucha Forest Classroom project under the New European Bauhaus initiative took a major step forward.
A Different Kind of Celebration
This year, our team decided not only to commemorate Ukraine’s Flag and Independence Days, but also to build something lasting — a space that symbolizes resilience, sustainability, and community.
Twenty volunteers traveled from Lithuania to Bucha to join more than fifty local volunteers, including children. Together, they transformed the park into one of the most lively and meaningful construction sites we’ve ever seen.
What We Accomplished in Just Two Days
Structural frame built - using glue-laminated timber donated by Jures Medis UAB
Straw wall panels assembled - with the expertise Modulina Straw Panels management
Creative use of donated materials - while facade and terrace works are still ahead, materials from Brolis Timber were turned into raised garden beds, birdhouses, and even a bug hotel
Children filled the park with art, adding color and joy, while volunteers worked side by side to create a space that will serve the community for years to come.
None of this would be possible without your support. Thank You.
With gratitude,
Viktorija, Aivaras & Bucha community
