We are pleased to announce that in February 2013 the Tekeshe foundation joined forces again with Mr. Justin Mupinda of CzWS to conduct our second ICT Sensitization workshop at Rimbi High School. Twenty five teachers from Mbeure and Rimbi Primary and High schools attended the workshop.
Mr Mupinda gave a detailed overview of the 21st century tools that his organization offers for teaching. The teachers reiterated how much of an eyeopener these workshops have been. They also emphasised their eagerness to acquire computer training.
As you can see the teachers are very eager to adopt the new tools for teaching. Unfortunately the rural schools are faced with so many hardships. The following are some of the challenges that face the rural schools in Chipinge:
The Tekeshe Foundation is committed to helping the rural schools adress some of these challenges. Our vision is to provide computers to the schools and to provide computer skills to the teachers. In keeping with this vision the Tekeshe Foundation donated a computer to each of the three schools that were present at the ICT sensitization workshops. The following pictures show Mr Chitombo, the director of the Tekeshe Foundation and Mr Adonis Mutseyami the overseer donating a computer to the headmaster of Mbeure school, Mr Caleb Sithole.
