Inauguration of “Providing Medical Care and Health Support Services to Jaani Home Residents”

On 05 June 2026, a significant milestone in community healthcare and elderly welfare was marked with the inauguration of the noble initiative, “Providing Medical Care and Health Support Services to Old Age Home Residents.” This meaningful project was launched through the joint collaboration of Arupadai Veedu Medical College and Rotary Club of Galaxy, bringing together healthcare professionals, social service organizations, and community leaders with a shared commitment to enhancing the quality of life of senior citizens.

Prime Educational and Social Trust and Janani Home for Girls were honored to be associated as partner organizations in this compassionate endeavor. Through this partnership, the beneficiaries supported by Prime Trust will have the opportunity to access a wide range of healthcare services at Arupadai Veedu Medical College Hospital either completely free of cost or at a highly subsidized and nominal rate. This support is expected to greatly benefit vulnerable individuals who often face financial barriers in accessing quality medical care.

The inaugural ceremony was conducted with great enthusiasm and dignity. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including the Vice Chancellor of Arupadai Veedu Medical College and a Former Governor of Rotary, who attended as Special Guests. Their inspiring addresses highlighted the importance of collective social responsibility and emphasized the need to ensure that elderly persons receive timely medical attention, dignity, and compassionate care during their later years.

The project has been designed with the objective of providing comprehensive healthcare support to residents of old age homes and other vulnerable elderly individuals. The initiative will facilitate regular medical check-ups, health screenings, specialist consultations, preventive healthcare services, follow-up treatments, and health awareness programs. It also seeks to promote overall physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing among senior citizens, enabling them to lead healthier and more dignified lives.

As the elderly population continues to grow, many senior citizens face challenges such as chronic illnesses, limited mobility, social isolation, and inadequate access to healthcare services. Recognizing these concerns, the collaborating organizations have come together to create a sustainable support system that addresses the healthcare needs of older adults in a holistic manner. The initiative reflects a shared vision of building a society where every elderly person is valued, respected, and cared for with compassion.

The launch of this project stands as a shining example of how partnerships between educational institutions, healthcare providers, service organizations, and non-profit institutions can create a lasting positive impact in the community. It demonstrates the power of collaboration in addressing social challenges and improving the lives of those who need support the most.

The inauguration ceremony was truly a blessed, memorable, and inspiring occasion. It served as a reminder that acts of kindness and service can bring hope, comfort, and healing to many lives. Prime Educational and Social Trust expresses its sincere gratitude to Arupadai Veedu Medical College, Rotary Club of Galaxy, and all those who contributed to making this initiative a reality. Together, we reaffirm our commitment to serving humanity with love, compassion, and dedication, ensuring that our elderly brothers and sisters receive the care, respect, and support they deserve.
