These young boys are exuberant soccer players. Even the lack of store-bought soccer balls won’t slow them down. Their red and blue balls above are entirely home made. What they lack in bounce, they make up for in durability.
The boys collect fibers from old grain sacks, or other sources and bunch them up into a mass. Then they wrap twine carefully around the fiber mass and knot it into the shape of a ball. It takes a lot of patience to come up with a sturdy sphere that can hold up to fancy footwork.
Eventually it all comes together. And with your support, we can gather the means to provide game-quality soccer balls they can use when they play other teams. Thank you!
