Oklahoma and its people are working towards sustainability, and thanks to GlobalGiving, and you, our donors, we are fortunate to be there to assist families, children and individuals. One family of 3, with an infant, lost everything, they managed to get an empty apt; then, with the help of some wonderful businesses in Oklahoma, we were able to provide furniture, a bed, and stock their kitchen, with gift cards they were able to buy clothes. Another family with a number of animals which were part of this families income, were scattered when they lost their fences, and then the mold took over. The family took care of the mold and we supplied the fencing and a number of compassionate volunteers got the fence up, along with helping to rebuild another building on the same property. Again all of these supplies were purchased with the help of GlobalGiving, the donors, and Oklahoma businesses working with us in an effort to assist the people in their community. The above is just a couple of stories, we have also been able to help with much more including temporary housing, food, and clothes. With our partners we assisted in a Christmas in July event for the children affected by the tornadoes. It was a great day!
