Relief Fund for Survivors of Oklahoma Tornadoes

Do Your Part would like to thank GlobalGiving and the many wonderful donors that have helped to make it possible for Do Your Part to assist the families in need from the loss of their homes and for many their means of living. Thanks to all of you and our partners we have been able to bring several families closer to sustainability.

Since the onset of the tornadoes that hit Oklahoma, Do Your Part established a Facebook page, this is a place where people could go to get and offer help; the page also offers a resource directory. Since the tornadoes hit Shawnee and Moore on May 19th and 20th, 2013, another devastating tornado hit El Reno, and along with these tornadoes came massive flooding that caused more threats to the survivors of Oklahoma. Do Your Part has aided in the rescue of many horses and have assisted in reconnecting them with their families, we have worked with the veterinarian hospital and clinics to supply much needed medication for these beautiful animals. Do Your Part has purchased, fencing materials, flooring, insulation, along with material for a handicapped ramp and volunteers to install. Currently we are working on a water line project that was destroyed during the storms. We have also supplied Gift Cards for families to get food, gas, clothes, and school supplies. We continue to meet the needs of survivors in Oklahoma.
