In Ehtimlat Camp in northern Syria, Amal Alumma Organization provided a financial sponsorship to the child shown in the photo, as part of its ongoing program to support orphaned children and help their families cope with difficult living conditions.
Orphaned children face many challenges, and life becomes even more difficult when they are growing up amid displacement, poverty, and limited resources. This sponsorship aims to provide ongoing support that can help the child and his family meet some of their basic needs and ease part of the financial burden they face.
The photo captures the moment the child received his sponsorship—a moment carrying a clear humanitarian message: an orphaned child is not alone, and there are people who care about him and are committed to extending a helping hand.
