In Ahtimlat Camp in northern Syria, this photo captures a moment when bread was delivered to an elderly woman whose face reflects the fatigue and hardships of years of displacement and difficult living conditions. Standing outside her modest shelter, she reaches out to receive the bread—a simple moment that reflects the daily struggles faced by displaced families who continue to struggle to meet their most basic needs.
For this elderly woman, the bread was more than just food. It was direct assistance delivered to her doorstep, helping ease the burden of securing part of her daily food needs.
Moments like this remind us that humanitarian needs cannot always be measured in numbers. Sometimes, the face of an elderly woman worn down by exhaustion tells the story of an entire family struggling to survive with dignity.
We continue distributing bread to families facing the greatest hardship in northern Syria, working to ensure that assistance reaches people directly and provides tangible support where it is needed most.
With the support of our donors, a simple loaf of bread can reach someone who needs it at a time when that support matters most.
We sincerely thank every donor who helps sustain these humanitarian efforts and continues to stand alongside displaced families.
