Dear Donor
Amid the severe humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, and as part of our ongoing efforts to support the most vulnerable families, Amal Al-Umma Organization delivered clean and safe drinking water to the family of Sarah and Fatima, two young sisters living with their parents in Mecca Camp in Gaza City.
The family is experiencing extremely harsh living conditions. The father of the two girls was injured during the latest assault on Gaza, while desperately searching for any food to ease his daughters’ hunger. His injury has limited his ability to work, leaving the family struggling every single day to secure even the most basic necessities—most urgently, safe drinking water, which has become scarce and difficult to access in the camp.
Our intervention came at a critical moment, as the family was suffering from severe dehydration risks and facing the dangers of relying on contaminated water sources that could directly threaten the children’s health. The clean water they received brought immediate relief and restored a sense of safety and dignity for Sarah, Fatima, and their parents in an environment where even survival essentials are painfully limited.
Despite his pain and physical condition, the girls’ father expressed deep gratitude to all donors who helped provide this vital assistance. He said that having clean water for his daughters felt like “a new breath of life”, giving him hope despite the hardship and wounds.
Your continued support empowers us to reach more exhausted families across Gaza. Every donation you make brings real change and offers children like Sarah and Fatima a chance to stay healthy and safe in one of the most difficult places on earth today.
Thank you for your compassion… your humanity… and for being part of the resilience and survival of Gaza’s children.
