Conflict and displacement have disrupted education for children living along the Myanmar–India border. Community-run schools continue to serve these students, often with limited supplies and resources. Through this phase of our education work, we provided learning materials to 200 refugee students and basic supplies to five camp schools.
Each student received five exercise books, five pens, three pencils, two erasers, two sharpeners, and a pencil pouch. The kits went to 180 students in Tuidang Camp and 20 students in Laki Camp. We also distributed 15 units of A4 paper and 10 units of marker or printer ink among schools in Zyhno, Laki, Khaikhy, Lopu, and Tuidang.
A parent in Tuidang Camp shared that the supplies “are a great help to families like ours.” For families with limited income, these everyday school materials can ease some of the cost of keeping children in school.
Teachers and school representatives also welcomed the paper and ink for their daily activities.
Thank you to everyone who supports education for children affected by conflict and displacement. Your generosity helps students continue learning and supports the community-run schools that serve them.
